From the Principal:
Welcome back to another school year at Los Cerros. It was wonderful to see all of you and your very excited students this morning and as always I thank you for entrusting your child to our care.

For those of you using our new TRAFFIX bus system I want to clarify a few points. Today was our first day with 9 school busses in the parking lot and as to be expected there were some small problems with arrival time, pick-up and drop-off, and students locating busses. Please be assured we are working with TRAFFIX to make this program work and become a seamless part of our school day.

After school students are not allowed to exit into the parking lot between parked busses but instead need to go around the back of the last bus. While the busses are waiting parents are no longer able to wait in the second and third lanes. Instead parents are asked to pull into the parking lot and create double lanes of waiting cars in the staff parking area and a single lane along the entrance curb.

Busses will eventually leave campus within 10 minutes of school dismissal and once they exit you're welcome to pull along the front curve and the into the second lane. For at least the first two weeks there will be TRAFFIX personnel and school staff to direct you.

We're off to a great start and I appreciate your patience and good humor today. The bus program will go far to alleviate traffic issues in our lot and the streets of Danville so thank you for supporting it. If you have any questions about bus passes, schedules or anything else please specific regarding busses contact the TRAFFIX program.
