8th GRADE PROMOTION PARTY - THANK YOU!
Well, it’s come and gone – and the consensus seems to be that Los Cerros in Wonderland was, well, WONDERFUL!  It certainly was a treat to see so many 8th graders having fun – climbing the rock wall and tackling the avalanche, riding on coolers (don’t ask!), playing blackjack, seeing into the future with the fortune teller, getting tattoos (temporary ones, of course!), dressing up for photos, jousting, and even sitting down for tea (burritos and hotdogs actually!).

Seeing everything come together so smoothly after all the planning and preparation was very rewarding.  For a brief time, Los Cerros had its own croquet lawn, a giant top hat, and a huge rabbit burrow for students to “fall through”.  And rumor has it that the Cheshire cat may still be seen every now and then grinning from one of the trees even though the party is over...!

Thanks go to everyone who was involved with the party, however large or small your role.  We would especially like to thank the many parents who volunteered to set-up, be at the party, and help clean-up afterwards, as well as all those who helped with preparation and planning.  Thanks also to the Los Cerros staff members, especially the fabulous office staff, who did so much to make the party happen.  And many thanks to the generous contributors from the local community who donated time, effort and materials that helped add the finishing touches to a great event.  Thank you all for helping us to give our students such a WONDERFUL experience as we send them on their way to their next Wonderland!
