Monte Vista's morning schedule has shifted traffic patterns so that the whole high school arrives on campus for finals this week at 8:30. In the afternoon the high school lets out before 1 so there is no traffic at the end of the day. PAW PRINTS MAGAZINE
Hello Los Cerros! This is just a reminder that Paw Prints, our Los Cerros Literary Magazine, is sponsoring a Martin Luther King story and poem contest! Topics for you to consider include: I Have A Dream, My Inspiration, and How I would Change the World! Please turn in your Martin Luther King stories or poems to your Core/English Teacher. Otherwise you may bring your entries to Room 12! The contest closes in two weeks on Tuesday, February 3rd. 6 GRADE YOSEMITE TRIP On February 2nd, your child will bring home a packet of information about the Yosemite trip. Please read over the packet carefully, fill out both sides of all forms, and include your final check of $200. Your child will need to return this packet A.S.A.P. to his or her CORE teacher. You may also drop it off at the office if you need to. If you have any questions, email Sally Shetterly or Tara Charley. For more detailed information about any part of the Yosemite Institute program, visit the website. Please read expectations for students so you will be able to discuss these expectations with your students. Meeting Tuesday, February 10th at 2:35 in the MPR- 7th and 8th grade students only. At the meeting the CJSF program will be explained; membership, requirements, volunteer hours. Applications and other handouts will be distributed. CJSF (California Junior Scholarship Federation) is a national organization honoring students with high academic grades and good citizenship. Membership is open to second semester 7th graders and first and second semester 8th graders. Membership is by application only and is affiliated with CSF, the High School level.
